  • OPC DA – Modbus RTU Gateway

Modbus RTU – OPC DA Gateway a highly powerful, superior, completely configurable and productive Building & Industrial Automation gateway for integrators to effortlessly interface devices to networks in commercial buildings and industrial plants.

This Gateway supports Modbus RTU and OPC DA (client only) protocols.

This gateway can be configured to be:

OPC DA Client and Modbus RTU Client: Hence this gateway will connect to a 3rd party OPC DA server and read or write tags. On the other hand, it will be a Modbus client and it can read or write data from a Modbus server.

This mode is useful when you have Modbus RTU based server devices and you need a solution to read values from them and write them to your OPC server. Or you want to constantly read OPC DA tags and write these values on a Modbus server device.

OPC DA – Modbus RTU Gateway

OPC DA Client and Modbus RTU Server: This is probably the most common mode of operation. And in this mode the gateway is configured to read OPC DA tags and publish them on Modbus RTU as a server. So, a 3rd party building automation/management system (BAS/BMS) can now read all this data on Modbus (and hence have access to the OPC DA data via the gateway). It is also possible to write OPC DA tags from the Modbus side. So, the BAS/BMS system can set values on the OPC DA server via the gateway.

The Gateway has benefitted system integrators worldwide with its powerful line of functions. Additionally, the gateway runs the same protocol conversion software on a productive and cost-efficient platform backed by the experience, engineering expertise and technically proven support that integrators have come to expect from this Gateway.

Features

Ability to interface up to 1000 points in the base version (upgrades to higher points can be purchased)

DIN rail mount

Application scenarios:

This gateway is extensively used to integrate lift/elevator/escalator systems that support OPC DA with a BMS/BAS system on Modbus RTU.

There are some Fire alarm systems that have an OPC DA interface. And you can monitor your fire system from your Modbus based BMS/BAS using this gateway.
