This Gateway supports Modbus TCP and OPC DA/UA protocols. It is a Bi-directional Converter that can be configured as a Client and/or a Server on either protocol interface.
When configured as an OPC DA/UA client, the Gateway can read data from your OPC DA/UA devices and serve the data on Modbus TCP. Also, it can write commands sent from the Modbus TCP side to the OPC DA/UA devices.
When configured as a Modbus TCP client, the Gateway can read data from your Modbus TCP devices and serve it as OPC DA/UA data. Also, it can write commands sent from the OPC DA/UA side to the Modbus TCP devices.
The Gateway can be configured to behave as a server on both OPC DA/UA and Modbus TCP interfaces. This mode is useful when data exchange is required between an OPC DA/UA client (for e.g. SCADA) and a Modbus TCP client (for e.g. a Building Management System).
